London Fashion Week is officially finished but that doesn’t mean that the trends spotted on the London streets and the LFW runways have been forgotten. In fact, now is the best time – we get to find and shop the trends and then work them into our personal style.
So what are the most noticeable trends from London Fashion Week?
The trainer trend has been around for a while and some of the more bold fashionistas choose to wear this comfy alternative all year round, whether on-trend or not. You cannot go wrong with a pair of branded trainers to work a sports luxe look. Also, comfort is a big thing for me so I am all too grateful to be wearing these cool shoes.
We welcome back pleats which were seen in quite a few of the shows including Christopher Kane. A sign of ultimate femininity and softness, pleats are perfect for everyday wear as well as evening.
The more demure girls and those who prefer not to show too much leg (including myself) will be grateful to know that the lengthier shorts will be in stores and massively on trend.
Slouchy maxi skirts
LFW has taught us that we don’t HAVE to show skin (Miley Cyrus anyone) to be fashionable. Slouchy long skirts are easy to wear so of course, this trend is welcome!
Items with peek a boo pieces will be all the rage and it helps that they will get some air onto your skin on those terribly hot days.
These are just a few of the trends spotted at the Brit fashion capital which has become a place where we look to some of the most innovative looks of the season. Where to shop these trends and many others? At our Durban Fashion Capital Centre – The Pavilion
