In 2010, Matthew Williamson waded into the fashion and technology debate, aggreeing with Burberry CEO Angela Ahrendts that a catwalk show is an essential ingredient in the building of a brand, despite the fact that designer collections can be seen “all over the internet” a matter of minutes after each show.
