In 2004, Gucci installed a coffee shop in its Milan boutique to provide its customers with a quick caffeine injection as and when needed. Designed to provide a refreshing pit-stop so customers could continue to shop, the teak wood and steel bar acted as a partition between the store and the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II on which the store was situated, cleverly attracting new customers at the same time.
