In 2005, Marco Gobbetti, then president and CEO of Givenchy said that the reason he hired Riccardo Tisci to helm the label was because he didn’t mention Audrey Hepburn in his interview. “He was the only one who didn’t make a single reference to Audrey Hepburn, Mr de Givenchy’s muse, whose style was tremendously used here in the past,”
