On this day in fashion history

In 2002, Claudia Schiffer pulled the plug on her wedding photographs from being featured in Hello! Magazine, after deciding she didn’t approve of the pictures. The German supermodel had reportedly sold the rights of the event to the magazine for £450,000. She took careful measures to ensure the public didn’t see her wedding gown, covering herself in blankets as she walked to the church and asking her security guards pull rogue snappers down from trees so that her special day was kept private.
