In 2007, Nude portraits and fashion shoots of Kate Moss were auctioned. Chuck Close’s six daguerreotype studies of Moss fetched £84,000, while a nude portrait by Irving Penn sold for £38,400 – both had originally been expected to fetch £20,000 and £22,000 respectively.
