2011, Karl Lagerfeld said he was “lazy”. Despite designing his eponymous label, ready-to-wear for Fendi and all the Chanel collections he still didn’t think he was working hard enough. “Maybe I could do better,” he said. “I’m never pleased with myself. I always think I’m lazy and that I could do better. Time passes so quickly. For me to sit and sketch quietly on my own is a luxury.”
