In 2003, Manolo Blahnik said he couldn’t quite understand all the fuss that was made over his shoes. “It’s so stupid,” he protested. “After all, what I do is shoes! People do seem to have this kind of obsession. They say, ‘I’m feeling depressed – I’m going to Manolo’.”

Clearly he hadn’t figured out the female mind – we use ANY excuse to go shopping!
