On this day in fashion history

In 2006, Diane Von Furstenberg followed in the footsteps of fellow designers Carolina Herrera, Badgley Mischka and Monique L’Huillie  to design an outfit for Barbie – but went one step further and created the same dress in human size for her own customers. For approximately £50, customers could own Barbie in a pink and white wrap dress, with ornate jewellery, a white oversized handbag, her own passport and a DVF monogrammed suitcase. For £150, customers could buy one of the limited edition grown-up sized versions.
