Taylor Swift for ELLE

Just when I thought it wasn’t possible to love Taylor even more, I watched her story last night and she is pretty incredible, in fact, I really want to be her friend more than ever!

Then I see these images for the March issue of ELLE and how cool she looks, the cover is pretty but the inside images are what I love! So many different looks, such a beautiful Taylor!

My thoughts on GIRLS

girls-hbo-show-lena-dunham

As I mentioned in my 7 Things post yesterday I was going to start watching the show that everybody is talking about, GIRLS. I know, I know, a bit delayed considering they’re already on Season 2!

Let’s just say I’m hooked! I love how different and raw, if I can put it that way, the show is. It seems there are no filters and there is no where they won’t go with this show, which is refreshing.

The characters flaws are portrayed openly for everyone to see and relate to, the actors aren’t perfect, aren’t super skinny and are totally human.

HBO comedy Girls

The story is also real, a few twenty year olds who are finding their feet in the big world, which includes finances, love, sex, friendship and all that jazz. As a twenty something year old who is going through the same thing, I find this show believable and I think that we needed something like this. As much as I love teenage dramas with beautiful rich kids, GIRLS is real and relevant!

I was also quite excited when the first episode ended and I saw that Lena Dunham (the main character) is the producer and script writer. I love this because she is the most real, she is podgy and quirky and keeps a viewer on their toes.

Girls, HBO

I can’t help but wonder if they do some improv during the show because it just seems that natural.

All in all, I really enjoyed the first few episodes, sometimes I had to gasp at the crazy things that come out their mouths but I also had a good laugh now and then. The show has that awkward feel to it but it all works together.

If you haven’t watched it, give it a try. If you do watch it, tell me what you love and hate about the show.

Demi Lovato Love

I’m going through a Demi stage, and yes, it is because of X Factor. She interests me and I look forward to not only seeing what she is wearing on the show but also what she has done with her hair, and how her make up is done. I like a celeb who can surpise me!

She features in Teen Vogue looking natural and simply pretty, whereas on the show she is heavily done up and slightly funkier.

Did I mention how much I love the placement of her cross tattoo? Well I do! And also I really love these shots of her, can you see her freckles too?

Fashion Flashback: Gwen Stefani

Before the likes of Gaga and Nicki Minaj, we had Gwen – she was different and experimented with fashion but never to extremes that actually grossed fans out (the meat dress) she pushed the limits but never went over the “way weird line”. Her different back then is now kind of our norm… How times change!

She was the epitome of cool, I look back at her now, at her music and her style and she is still pretty damn cool.

Remember the ish is bananas? How cool was that song?

While looking at some of her shots – I thought high-fashion.

Her individuality and style is something I will always admire because I was so young when she was at her peak and I just didn’t understand her but I loved that! I now understand way more and would like to give her a high five in real life :)

YayorNay: Jennifer Lawrence’s new do

The Hunger Games star has gone dark and I LOVE it! I’m a huge fan of dark hair, which is why mine is black and why I’m crushing on Jennifer’s new do.

Speaking of Jennifer, I watched The Hunger Games this weekend and really enjoyed it. Gripping from beginning to end. I now, of course, have to read the books

What do you think of the new colour? Yay or Nay?

A legend at work – Coco Chanel

My admiration for Coco Chanel and love for the brand is obvious so when I came across these pictures of Mademoiselle herself, at work, I allowed myself to imagine what it was like in her day, what it was like to be her, and what it would have been like to know her.

She aged gracefully and remained elegant even when smoking – which is a hard task.
