Wow Amber Jones

The ELLE Rising Star Event took place last night, the initiative not only gives young designers a platform but also gives the fashion lovers a night out.

Amber Jones, who is queen of Mr Price fashion designed a range, although not part of the competition, Amber, once again managed to impress.

These are my three favorite looks from her range;

Well done Amber, and well done to the winner, Jane Elizabeth Kotze, who wowed the audience and judges with pretty pastel ensembles.

Friday Favorite: We Heart This

So I recently shared my obsession with notebooks with you and today, I spotted a blog by one of my favorite blog ladies Bobbylicious sharing a link to a really cute and cool online store – We Heart This, Of course I went to browse in the hopes of finding some cool goodies and guesswhat……. I found notebooks!

They are so cute, and so handmade, and so me!

The notebooks come in a set of 3 with blank pages and each with a different colour tone (green, pink and blue) and has its own cover quote.

Each notebook set comes packaged with a lovely fabric bag also handmade.

I want…. The set is R150, great value for money considering it is handmade with love..

But then I also want this one

The journal includes 25 blank sheets (50 pages) for your notes and extra pages to list“Cool stuff to check out”, “Important”, “Don’t forget”, “Want to do”, “Want to go”, and “Must buy”.

The journal is R70.

I found this picture on the Mr Price blog and felt it was made for me. This is not something I should admit to on internet, for the whole world to see but I am a rather messy person. It starts with my room and carries on to my cupboard and even my desk. It’s not something I’m proud of but I laugh it off most of the time because we can’t all be perfect right

So the time has come for Amber Jones’ – winner of the Elle New Talent comp held earlier this year, range to hit the shelves in selected stores.

The new Sandton store which had it’s grand opening on Wednesday night is the first store to stock the range, other selected stores will follow from 21 November onwards.. Mark that date on your calender and get there! Trust me, you don’t wanna miss it, and if you don’t hurry, you will because these limited ranges sell better than hot cakes

The range is a fantastic one displaying fun colours and prints and is super girlie…

Well done to Amber Jones for creating a playful, summery range that is sure to be a hit

**CRASH CAR BURN**LONG LIVE TONIGHT**CD

I saw them live at the Durban Botanic Gardens a few weekends ago even though I loved them (which is obviously why I went to watch them) I loved them more after seeing them perform and chatting to them after their set..

Obviously I bought their CD and it’s one of those that I will never get sick of! I was listening to it last night and realised they are worthy of being my favoritest friday favorite!

So many awesome tracks on their cd with inspirational words…Love these guys!
