GIRLS to be made into a reality show?

If you don’t know my obsession with HBO’s Girls and Lena Dunham by now then you obviously don’t follow me on Twitter!

Apparently the show has had such major success, it has now been decided to make a reality spin off of it.

Hailey Glassman is said to be the main character (the Lena Dunham) in this new realtiy show.

“They’ve already cast Hailey because she sort of epitomises the mid-to-upper class 20-something trying to make it in New York City,”

“ABC has really high goals for the show and each character will be loosely based off one of the characters in the scripted show.

“The premise of the series is to show the hardships of living in New York City and the hustle and creativity it takes to survive in the concrete jungle.

“This is going to be a group of extroverted girls who are well-educated, go to brunch on Sundays bust their asses during the week to make ends meet”

What are your thoughts on this? I love Girls so I really don’t think anything can do it justice, and also, it’s very unoriginal.

Veronica & Betty are Back

I’m pretty sure everyone in my generation will remember the Archie comic, I personally loved it and it will always be in my heart as one of my fondest memories of childhood.

My inner child is jumping for joy right now, since MAC have once again come up with a genius new limited edition range, the Archie girls.

90210 season 4 fashion

You know my obsession with 90210 so there really is no need to go into that, but I have just finished season 4 and it was, without a doubt, the best season for drama. I cried a few times, I grinned a few times, but most times I just enjoyed the storyline, the characters and of course, the fashion. Here are a few snaps of the fashion from season 4

Friday Favorite: We Heart This

So I recently shared my obsession with notebooks with you and today, I spotted a blog by one of my favorite blog ladies Bobbylicious sharing a link to a really cute and cool online store – We Heart This, Of course I went to browse in the hopes of finding some cool goodies and guesswhat……. I found notebooks!

They are so cute, and so handmade, and so me!

The notebooks come in a set of 3 with blank pages and each with a different colour tone (green, pink and blue) and has its own cover quote.

Each notebook set comes packaged with a lovely fabric bag also handmade.

I want…. The set is R150, great value for money considering it is handmade with love..

Current Obsessions

Notebooks – Ever since I was a little girl I have had this love for notebooks – there is just something so exciting about buying a blank notebook and filling it up with anything you want. I would buy tons and never understood why but now I know why – I’m a writer and a blank piece of paper is one thing I’ll always need with me at all times. I have recently rediscovered this love for notebooks and am on the search for some unique ones.

Hats – I had always admired hats from a distance, never felt comfortable enough to wear them, now everywhere I go I look for hats. My collection has grown from zero to five in a short while.

What are your current obsessions?

Rebel Obsessed

I was lucky enough to receive a goodie bag from AFI SA and Mercedes Benz on my trip and of all the goodies in the bag, the one that stood out was MAC Rebel Lipglass – to say I am obsessed with this colour is an understatement. I wore it everyday in Cape Town and have it on today.

Being a light pink girl and wanting to move away from the light shades, this couldn’t have come at a better time. This is also the first time I am trying a MAC lipgloss because I’m quite a cheap gloss girl, my mentality has been all wrong thinking they’re all one in the same.

Now that I have tried MAC, I am dying to take a look instore at the other colours available – this gloss lasts and has such a beautiful colour to it no matter how much you apply. I apply two coats to get close to the bottle colour (its a stunning grape) and find that I reapply every three hours or so. It is quite thick in texture but not at all sticky.

According to my MAC friend and pro, this was a limited edition colour and also came in a lipstick and polish..

And just look how amazing it is – I want the polish and lipstick, and like a ton more of the gloss.

Current Obsession

Ok so I neither love nor hate Justin Bieber – I have found myself shaking and baking to some of his songs without realising it.

Say what you want about the guy – the perfume under his name is amazing, so amazing that as soon as I tried it, I knew it was going to be my new obsession and that I had to have it.

Someday is playful, fresh yet flirty and anything but ordinary…It takes off with a splash of fruity mandarin, pear and wild berries, continues with fresh notes of jasmine and creamy florals and ends with warm hints of vanilla and soft musk.

It is the perfect combination for me and I can’t wait to get my hands on a bottle

I suppose releasing this perfume hasn’t helped his case very much, you know with all the talk that he’s gay and whatever.

Either way I love the smell and enjoy looking at the bottle which is a plus.
